A podcast for women in chiropractic
We’ve reached the final installment of the 3-part series where I’m revealing the things I wish I would’ve known about in my first 5 years of practice. And if you’ve been listening to the podcast for a while you probably have a hunch what this one’s gonna be about…
You guessed it - care plans!
I delve into my thinking behind each unique patient care plan I curate, the neurological implications of your care plan length, and what chiropractic school should’ve taught us along the way.

My #1 most requested guest has finally graced Illuminate Your Practice with his presence— my husband, Joe!
For those of you new to the podcast, Joe is the CFO of both my chiropractic practice and coaching biz. He’s the number-crunching, spreadsheet-lovin’ half of our marriage, and he’s a crucial member of the Illuminate team when it comes to our Squad members’ financial goals.
This episode is best digested with a pen and paper in hand, so you can jot down all of Joe’s best tips for chiros when it comes to nurturing your financial health - both personally and in business!

On my own podcast playlist, some of my favorite episodes to listen to are those that feature personal and professional stories of growth. There is something about hearing another person’s twists and turns on their path and being able to identify those parallels on your OWN journey to know that you are not alone.
Within my coaching group, I see so many of these remarkable stories and realized I was doing you all a disservice by not bringing them to you sooner!
On our first case study episode I was lucky enough to be joined by a brilliant DC that I’ve had the pleasure of working with on the Illuminated Squad— Dr. Kate Williams of Well Within Chiropractic in Appleton, WI. We touch on the topics of finding the right coaching fit, balancing motherhood and running a practice, and truly having more while working less.

This is part two of the 3-part series where I’m revealing the things I wish I would’ve known about in my first 5 years of practice. And I’m gonna get on my soapbox for this one.
Did you know that upwards of 80% of chiropractors have money issues? It’s not lost on me that the foundation of chiropractic is “give, love, serve,” but we’ve gotta draw the line somewhere when we’re spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on our education and expertise...and then losing money with each adjustment.
Dig in with me on this episode where we discuss money mindset and identifying your limiting beliefs when it comes to collecting what you are worth.

This is part one of a 3-part series where I’m revealing the things I wish I would’ve known about in my first 5 years of practice. I think we've all struggled with these in one way or another when we left Chiropractic school and were tasked with being doctors and business owners. The hurdles in practice growth, the communication of Chiropractic, the mindset limitations… where’s the easy button?!
Well (spoiler alert) there isn’t - but there are definitely some things that, had I implemented them earlier, would have made that hard season of life much shorter, and catapulted my growth that much sooner!
You can learn the lessons yourself, or you can just hear from mine and spare yourself the not-so-pretty stuff ;)

The universe has a funny way of stopping you in your tracks when you’re just chugging along in your day-to-day grind.
In this Mindset Moment episode, I reflect on some recent personnel changes that shook me a bit, but were also the perfect reminder from the universe to prioritize consistency in my desired growth and long-term goals.
It may get you thinking to yourself, “What has been helpful for me that I’m no longer consistent with?"

If you're using the word 'subluxation' in your outward marketing, it's time to stop.
This is just one of the lessons learned in today's chat with Instagram coach, Molly Cahill.
Before becoming the social media maven she is today, Molly was a young mom that pursued chiropractic for pain relief. It took her about 10 years to adopt the wellness mindset from chiropractic, and in that time realized what so many chiros are missing in their messaging.
She has since harnessed her skills as a sales and marketing pro to focus on how to communicate the chiropractic mission into a simple language that clarifies—not confuses— prospective patients and gets them to convert.

I’ve seen this same feeling and almost a question like response several times throughout my coaching career - I need more motivation. But is that what you actually need? Today’s conversation is with my good friend, Dr. Lauryn. This interview had started from the original comment of, “I'm in need of consistent motivation to keep pushing for more and not get complacent with what I've already accomplished. What I'm doing is well enough, but my Vision always is nudging me to strive for more; There can be a subtle internal struggle to be thankful for what I have and just coast because the thought of working towards something more is sometimes exhausting. How can I find a daily or weekly motivational reminder that enough is not going to cut it for me because deep down, I know that if I'm not consistently improving, if I've become stagnant, then I am no longer growing as a human being”
