[episode 40] Blogging Your Way To Extra Revenue

Jul 29, 2021

Special guest Kate Kordsmeier joins the show today to help us understand the power of blogging and how chiros are leaving money on the table if they don't blog!

Kate, a chiro-convert-for-life, is the founder of the holistic wellness blog Root + Revel, the creator of the digital course The Six-Figure Blog Academy, and the host of the podcast Success with Soul. She helps people start, grow, monetize and LOVE their online business. She’s here to discuss why chiropractors need a blog, the big paradigm shift that's happening in online marketing in 2020/2021 and beyond, essentially why you don’t think you need a blog, but you do.

[episode 36] Agree to Disagree

Jul 08, 2021

Fresh off my latest mastermind event with Kate Northrup, I’ve got some takeaways to share that I gathered while cohabitating with a group of 8 strangers for 72 hours straight.

Were we all business owners? YES
Were we all women? YES
Did we have differing opinions about lifestyles and ideals? OH YES WE DID.

And did we all leave with a mutual respect for one another and a greater sense of community? You’ll have to listen to get the answer on that one ;)

Hear how it all went down—and what lessons I learned along the way—on this week’s episode.

[episode 34] Sharing Your Health Beliefs with Patients

Jun 24, 2021

“I’m afraid that people will see me as weird, crazy, or a 'quack' if I say what I really think.” How many of us can relate to that sentiment?

As health professionals in a world where the mainstream population doesn’t align with our views, it sometimes feels easier to hide than to speak our truth. For fear of misunderstanding. For fear of rejection. For fear of discontinuation of care.

Or maybe you’re loud and proud, sharing your truth to anyone who walks through your doors.

Either way you lean, there is a very delicate balance to be considered when sharing our views and thoughts. Effectively sparking their curiosity, but not overwhelming them nor coming from an angle of judgment.

I’ve definitely made many mistakes in this arena, but I believe I’ve fallen forward enough to have finally landed on a refined approach that has opened many patient minds, while protecting my own beliefs and integrity in the process.

In this...

[episode 33] 5 Proven Strategies to Rise Above Your Fears

Jun 17, 2021

On this week’s episode of Illuminate Your Practice, I share 5 of my go-to strategies to rise above our primary fears.

These are just a taste of the confessions that women so vulnerably shared in the comments inside our free community group on Facebook.

“I'm afraid people will perceive me as a failure if I don’t strive for high volume PV.”

“I’m afraid people will perceive me as greedy if I ask for payment at time of service.”

“I'm afraid people will perceive me as a bad mom if I am too ambitious.”

Even though I live for overcoming limiting beliefs and mindsets that no longer serve us, I’m not going to lie and say that these perception fears can be overcome.

That doesn’t mean they have to hold us back indefinitely! There are tools you can use to shorten that refractory period when there’s a fear flare-up.

It’s time to bring them to light so you can shine bright!

[episode 31] MINDSET MOMENT: Facing Your Primary Fear

Jun 03, 2021

I didn't even shower before I recorded this episode... if that's any indication of how anxious I was to get these words recorded before they escaped my brain.

Thanks to a quiet walk in the north woods of Wisconsin, (my favorite form of seeking catharsis) I was really able to reflect on how we usually default to one primary fear in our lives.

And when I say "fear" I don't mean heights or spiders. I'm talking about those deep, decision-altering fears that really keep a grip on how we run our day-to-day lives. I've finally pinpointed mine and I'm working on dismantling the web it's built within me.

This quick episode will help you identify yours so you can confront it head it on and begin surrendering to the flow.
